A small village in Abruzzo, Italy : every year, to honor Saint Dominic, his statue is carried in the streets and covered with alive snakes, which the inhabitants handle with familiarity but great care. From the rite, Solinas keeps these contacts, that she observes through the eye of Michel de Certeau, envisioning the human being in prayer as a “forest of gestures.”

Un petit village des Abruzzes en Italie : chaque année, pour honorer Saint Dominique, sa statue est portée dans les rues et recouverte de serpents vivants, que les habitants manipulent avec familiarité et prévenance. Du rite, Solinas garde les contacts, observés à travers l’œil de Michel de Certeau, qui envisage l’Homme en prière comme une «forêt de gestes.»
